Hey! Welcome to the second post of A Thousand Miles Away. Prepare for an adventure - today you and I will see the sea together
I love going to the beach - it is basically a tradition in my family to make a trip once a year to some beautiful place near a coastline where we can all stay in the gorgeous blue waters, or under the umbrella, reading a good book, or playing beach ball, or having a massive meal with friends. These are one of the best things in life for me. And I have a couple of pretty pictures I want to share that I hope will bring you right by the beach as you are reading trough the post. I'll describe how a trip like this usually goes for us. Also, all the pictures are provided by Katerina Pavlova. Enjoy!
The progression of a trip
The beginning of the beginning:
When we leave for a trip, usually we wake up really early in the morning. We rarely fly by plane, so the next best option is a car road trip. There are typically a lot of hours of driving time ahead and that's why we get up at some ungodly hour. But I like that feeling of waking up and knowing an adventure is coming. As the beginning of a trip it is always exciting.
The middle of the beginning:
This is the part of the ride that is very nice and very bad at the same time - the anticipation is keeping you on the edge of your seat, but at the same time you're already tired and probably irritated - that's the best time to whip out your games and entertainments - you'll pass the time and you will enjoy yourself as well. Don't get frustrated - you'll be there soon.
The end of the beginning:
So you've already arrived at your destination - that's great! Now it's time for a nice lunch/dinner/breakfast, and your first day here is about to begin. For now the idea of leaving is soo far away and you're not worried - you feel like you would stay here forever.
The middle part:
These are the best moments of the trip - the middle part. Everyone is having fun, you're taking a lot of photos, you're swimming in the water, you're eating like a pig, you're sleeping 10 hours a day, you're playing poker, you're climbing rocks, you're having the time of your life. It's awesome!
The ending:
This is the worst part of it all - you realize you're leaving. The last moments fly by very slowly and at the same time very, very fast. Before you know it you're back on the road again, this time travelling home. It is a sad but yet an eye-opening time of your life - you now understand that there are good and bad moments in your life - but the good days are the once worth living for...
So, without further ado, here are some breath-taking photos:
1) the sunsets are gorgeous...

2) The sea is splendid

3) Some friends I've made during my trips:

And, finally, some honorable mentions - some great moments that deserve some fame:

So those were a few pictures form various trips to the coastline. I really enjoy those types of vacations and I have a lot more photos to share, so if you enjoyed reading (and I really hope you did), just say the word and I will post more. Leave a comment telling me what are your favorite places for seaside trips! Thanks for reading, and I'll see you soon with a new post!
The End
